I am looking for papers, preferably recent, where individuals in a feeding choice test didn't feed and were re-used in another replicate. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as most of the papers I am finding don't even mention this at all!

I haven't come across this kind of statement in a paper either. Maybe you will need to make a little survey of labs undertaking feeding tests to generate some data??? I do see your point - I'm not sure every lab will have been rigorous enough to recognise the potential bias.
I have no publication available. But if the material was not mixed or contaminated with another to change its composition it is perfectly re-usable. The only thing to consider is the change of material moisture. I suggest to dry in an oven at 60 ° C to have uniformity. Another would analyze it again to ensure that no change selection by the animal that received it. The issue is to declare in the trial that the food was reused and was analyzed to ensure that it was of the same composition and humidity.
I don't have any publications to suggest, but I was trained to avoid reusing herbivores/predators in the same feeding experiment in case learned behavior affected the results.
