For a research project, I am looking for a world-wide profile of higher education faculty.
I am looking for distributions such as age, faculty rank, discipline taught, years of teaching, graduate versus undergraduate percentages, and experience teaching via online or distance learning.
My guess is that no such world-wide profile exists, but if you have any suggestions for citable sources, let me know.
Note that although I need citable sources for my research, I am also happy to talk about any ideas with respect to this topic.

Yes, OECD studies might be a good starting point. Although I think you'll not be able to identify a standardized profile of HEI.
Mirna Leko-Šimić I am asking my question in connection with a manuscript I need to write next week. I have a convenience sample of faculty from around the world and it would be nice if I could compare the demographics of my participants to an existing profile.
There is no time to try to compile such a profile myself, and as you say, it is probably unlikely that there is a profile out there for me to find. I do not NEED it for what I write, but if it existed it would help.
I am purposed to understanding disability as a condition of societal institutions. I am specifically looking at disability as an aggregate of college faculty in the US. Unfortunately to that end, my work has met the standing of a Co-Authored philosophical paper I am currently doing with Dr Weber. Dr Weber is a philosopher of great quality, so in that way it's been quite an honor. I say unfortunate though because, of the gap in systemic data needed to base any logical understandings of this population. Please, don't hesitate to include me on any of your work with regards to demographical data for college faculty as I am quite interested in the subject of teacher/institutional representation relative to narratives of disability identification/labeling as it applies to sociocultural marginalization or thereby educational inequality.
