Maybe you can use two ways to measure:
A) The perception that children have of their relationship with their parents.
In Argentina I use the Richaud de Minzi, MC. (2002). Inventario acerca de la percepción que tienen los niños y las niñas de las relaciones con sus padres y madres: versión para 4 a 6 años. Revista Interamericana de Psicología, 36(1 y 2), 149-165., which is based on the Children's Report of Parental Behavior Inventory (Schaefer)
B) And the parent report on their relationship with the child. In this case I'm using the Samaniego, VC. (2010). Escala de tolerancia parental hacia los comportamientos infantiles, elaboración y validación. Revista Latinoamericana de Psicología, 42(2), 203-214.
Both scales work very well in preschool and school age.

You should check out the Parenting Stress Index, though it is owned by PAR, which means it costs $$. We used it for some of our program evaluations that involved parenting, and at the item level it gets at some very interesting qualities of the parent child relationship and parenting style.

You might want to look at the child-parent relationship scale by Pianta (1992) it is a self report questionnaire about parent-child relationship quality including some dimensions of attachment but is suitable for children around preschool age / early primary school years.

"Responses to separation from parents: A clinical test for young children."

However note that the test was conceived before the "Strange Situation" by Mary Ainsworth (1978).

Many thanks for these helpful suggestions. I work in Kenya and I am trying to find a suitable tool around parenting or more specifically on parent-child attachment that could be culturally congruous as well. I will follow up on these suggestions.
