Here I attach an article that deals very thorouhly with the experimental and data treatment for Monod growth kinetics (Karaova-Kovar & Egli, 1998). The great thing is that is free download. I think this is the best literature reference for this. Other reference of interests will be Levenspiel classic book on Chemical Reaction Engineering. There are copule of articles of the same author but they are no very accesible since they are a bit old. For the basics of chemical reaction kinetics, that are needed to apply the Monod Model, for example the initial reaction rate experiment, it is necessary to go to the Levenspiel book or to a basic physical chemistry book.
