It is always possible to export your spectra in a text format with all spectrometers (csv as example). Then Unscrambler import is easy. It is often the easier way to do.
you can also open directly the dpt file in Unscrambler using the function 'import data' in File menu, then select ASCII format. When you are in the desired folder, in the browser window choose 'all files', it will find your file.
Thank you for your suggestion. I have no access to the device where the NIR spectra were recorded. That is why I am trying to directely open the .dpt files in Unscrambler. I will try to access the NIR equipament again. Regards,
Have you tried to scroll down the list in the browser window (last attached figure) and check if there is the option 'all files'?If you find this command, and if you don't see still the file, click on 'enter' command of the keyboard
It's quite strange this. Don't you see any dpt file or any other file in your desired folder (in which you have the spectra) pressing 'enter' command after having selected 'ascii' format and written *.* in 'Files of type'..?
It's strange because from your image they seem normal dpt files.
I suppose that you've got this dpt data after exporting the spectra?
You can import this thing to the excel.Only problem is in case you have a large files, large number of columns.Excel accept only 256 of columns.SO if you have for example 3d plot exported from IR software you should try another option. Now I'm fighting with this thing.
But if you have simply dpt just import to the excel and after save as excel worksheet.
I had the same problem and open the file with the notepad of windows, copy all data, paste data on excel (separate number on columns) and create a graph of IR and also paste data on spekwin32 and save the ir spectrum.
Oh my, so many recommendations... "dpt" means "data point table" and is actually an ASCII file format, coming from Bruker OPUS software. These files can be easily loaded and visualized with my free software for optical spectroscopy: http://Spectragryph.com
A DPT file is a slide show template created by Kingsoft Presentation. If you change the file extension to txt, maybe it is possible to open it on Unscrambler.
I had to do the interpretation of some analysis in less than 5 min, so,,, open the .dpt file on notepad,,, hit ctrl + A,,, or "select all" hotkey,,, copy, paste it on excel. Still selected insert scatter chart. done.
