Suppose we have two 10 nm Fe3O4 nanoparticles soluble in H2O.
When a magnetic field gradient is applied (for example, purely 10 mT at zero distance).
The two NPs will be magnetized and aligned/attracted to each other.
Do we know how much attraction between these two force NPs? Or How do we calculate magnetic force exerted onto these two particles?

I am no specialist, but I would assume, that in NP's the ferromegnetism is weak because it is an effect of spin coupling in solids. Perhaps you can estimate the attractive force by the paramagnetic moments of two neighboured molecules.
Furthermore, I would try to estimate the van der Waals interaction of two NP's and compare this with magnetic forces.
