After production of bacteria bacillus amyloliquefaciens i have found it to be more light and can easily be a run off and majority may go to a waste. I could like to know if their is a way i can formulate it and still maintain its viability and stability so as it can be a bit sticky or thicker to the areas of application. help please in its formulation.

Abstract
During the last decade, the use of plant-root colonizing bacteria with plant growth-promoting activity has been proven as an efficient and environmental-friendly alternative to chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Biofertilizer and biocontrol formulations prepared from endospore-forming Bacillus strains are increasingly applied due to their long shelf life, which is comparable with that of agrochemicals. Today, spore suspensions from natural representatives of mainly Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Bacillus subtilis, and Bacillus pumilus are available. However, these biofertilizers, directly prepared from environmental strains, are sometimes hampered in their action and do not fulfill in each case the expectations of the appliers (Borriss R, Bacteria in agrobiology: plant growth responses, Springer, 2011, pp. 41-76). This review will focus on several ways to improve the action of B. amyloliquefaciens subsp. plantarum FZB42T, the type strain for the group of plant-associated B. amyloliquefaciens strains. We are focusing here on genomics and genetic engineering techniques as helpful tools for developing more powerful biofertilizer and biocontrol agents.

Comparative analysis of the complete genome sequence of the plant growth–promoting bacterium Bacillus amyloliquefaciens FZB42
Proteomics.
Cells were grown under shaking (210 r.p.m.) at 24 °C for 14 h in medium 1C consisting of 0.7% tryptone, 0.3% peptone, 0.1% glucose, 0.5% NaCl and 10% soil extract. When appropriate, root exudates prepared from maize seedlings were added to the culture (250 mg/l). Preparation of the extracellular protein fraction, 2D-gel electrophoresis and protein identification by in-gel digestion with trypsin, extraction of peptides in the Ettan Spot Handling Workstation (Amersham) and determination of peptide masses in the Proteomics Analyzer 4700 (Applied Biosystems) were done as recently described52. The 2D-gel images were analyzed using the PD-Quest (Bio-Rad) software.
Mass spectrometry.
Polyketides were identified by mass-spectrometric analysis, as described previously8. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectrometry (MS) was performed from aliquots of acetonitrile-water extracts of the culture filtrates of the Bacillus strains. Before HPLC-ESI-MS was done, the extracts were desalted by solid-phase extraction. Every sample was measured in two different modes, negative and positive mode, and mass spectra were acquired in the range of m/z 300–800.
Dear Geoffrey Onserio Nyamagwa, First of all you have to optimize the growth of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. For this you have to take Nutrient broth and from many literatures it is found that the pH is 7.0 and temp. is 30-40 degree celcius for Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. What ever it may be strains varies therefore you have to optimize the growth by changing pH and temp. and use shaker incubator of above 150 rpm. Hope it will help You. All The Best.

According to my knowledge the best way to improve stability of B. amyloliquefacines in suspension is to introduce after cultivation a sporulation stage. Formation of spores ifrom vegetatice cells imrpoves stability substantially. Sporulation has no influence upon its aplicability.
