Hi Maryam! Regarding Ichthyophthirius multifiliis (white spot disease), it occured once in my home aquarium where my pangasius was infected. I used malachite green with very good and immediate results.
No I'm sorry I don't have any photos. The treatment I used was Waterlife Protozin. You have to remove the carbon from your filter and increase temperature in the aquarium. White spot occurs in the aquarium due to sudden changes in water temperature.
Hi Maryam! If you are interested in dactylogyrideans, also see the paper entitled "Speciation in Thaparocleidus (Monogenea: Dactylogyridae) Parasitizing Asian Pangasiid Catfishes" by Šimková et al. (2013). BioMed Research International, Article ID 353956,http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2013/353956.
Thank a lot. I'm studying these fish parasites and special about Ancylodiscoides curvilamellis. but I'm not found any Article that has morphology and key of Assessment. I've found this parasite but no Assessment.
It is not possible to identify the parasite genus on your picture (I need to see precisely the haptor sclerotised parts), could you please send me a picture of this posterior extremity with a higher magnification (X 200 or 400), or could you check the morphology of the anchors compared to that of a Thaparocleidus (see attached article).
