Yes , it is polypropylene (PP) but in general the binder systems are mostly based on polypropylene , paraffin wax and stearic acid and two commercial binder systems known by "Commercial Licomont" and "Commercial M1". in this respect I put down below the latest issue of comprehesive review about the development of metal powder hot embossing containig bundle of knwoledge about your intrest.
Best regards

Thank you Dear Eyob Messele Sefene for your kindly feedback. In my opinion there is no perfect single material work as binder powder injection molding of metals process since the binder working as a system consisting more than one material each one do a certain task , so is difficult to select one between different choices as can seen in table 7 pp29 for SS316L in [1] . By the way, the thesis in [1] is very helpful with a great bundle of knowledge meets your interest. Now , polypropylene when formulated with other materials can be more appropriate selection that fulfilled the requirements is required for the binder system mainly in providing a continuous easy flow of the metallic particles into the die cavity during molding, wax polymers which generally have low viscosity meet well this demand. So polypropylene it is the basic material for the binder system for SS430L and SS630(17-4PH) as well as mainly for SS316L.
