I used the BMG LabTech Clariostar plate reader during my PhD years, and our lab has also published articles using this instrument. Prior to purchasing the plate reader, I tested several instruments of other companies and we decided to go with Clariostar. Based on my experience, this is simple to use, versatile, and easy to learn as well. Although I used this machine to do anisotropy, FRET analysis, and ATP assays, there is a whole lot more you can do with it. I hope this helps!
