I'm running qPCR on some microRNA samples and I need a new cDNA kit as the MystiCq one was discontinued. I still have all of the MystiCq primers and ready mix, but need a new cDNA kit, I tried calling Sigma and they recommended I call Qiagen as they own the trademark for MystiCq and they recommended their new miRCURY LNA RT Kit. I was curious if anyone had experience using this kit and if they had tried mixing it with primers or master mixes from other companies.

I used to mix primers and cDNA from different companies on a regular basis. As long as you use one company's buffer within one step (e.g. cDNA synthesis) you can use the endproduct as input for the next one (e.g. qPCR). Freeze-dried primers are usually disolved in water, hence you don't have to consider buffer compatibility.
