If your tissue is already embedded in wax and you don't have the luxury of choosing another medium try cutting your sections in a warm room and keeping your waterbath at a constant temp. Keep your instruments warm and avoid touching the tissue block. The lens may have been shattered on embedding in which case all you can do is repeat clear more than the recommended number of times and use an ultra fine Sable hair (NOT nylon which pings and stabs tissue!) brush to gently remove the debris under a dissecting microscope before they dry
in case of paraffin embedding, eye require to be fix in Boans solution for at least 8 hours then kept in 70% ethanol solution and for embedding you must use 56C melting paraffin.
