Does anyone have any tips on reducing the lens shatter/debris of paraffin embedded eyes?

Eyes are fixed in Davidson's for 24hrs. The debris is most present in H&E stained slides.

Has anyone tried or had any success with flash freezing whole eyes immediately after enucleation, and then placing them in fixative at 4˚C?

The eye would then be processed for paraffin embedding. We are attempting to improve the morphology of rabbit eyes when using 10% formalin or 4% PFA as fixative. Davidson's has proven to work...
