Very important question, similar question i have asked for energetics of crops, means output in terms of energy equivalence divided by energy inputs in terms of water, fertilizers, pesticides, labour / manpower, seed production etc, in a way to work out the efficiency of the entire cropping system over a piece of land, we need to debate over this question as well start thinking into this imp direction, which would address to choice of imp crops/cropping system suitable for a specific region as well also address the issues of LUCC and climate change subsequently

In terms of FYM, the energy efficiency as well inputs of energy when we incorporate FYM in soils

it depends on the FYM availability from per animal (Cattle/Buffalo) at the farm. How much a animal produces dung, multiply in month, then calculate all animals. What space is required to store its. 

Mr.Ghosh, first decide the method of FYM preparation, list all the steps involved in the method and then list all requirements. Also decide whether the different operations will be done manually or mechanically.Then energy requirements  can be worked out.Also decide whether you propose to prepare simple manure or fortified manure.Accordingly the energy requirements  will vary.
