I would like to link two topics, LCCA and BIM, each of which deals with "structural and earthquake engineering" and "construction management" in civil engineering, respectively.
I am trying to investigate on LCCA of a structure equipped with Tuned Mass Dampers (TMDs) based on principles of Performance Based Earthquake Engineering (PBDE) for different seismic hazard levels (this issue is related to structural engineering). So I intend to use BIM to create a more realistic cost model including other costs are related to this topic.
I suggest that you use the 5D BIM technology, which is related to the cost of construction elements. You need to model your project using software as revit, and then link the model's elements to the cost and time schedule using software like Naviswork. This will give you visualization for the construction phases and the project life cycle.

BIM is a platform. You need to use software with BIM, for example, REVIT. Softwares with BIM will help you to manage and understand the models, mainly the quantities of materials. It's so helpful if you want to import these data to LCA or LCCA. I'm working with REVIT integrated into the structural software.

thank you about your opinion, but I had another purpose for asking this question.
Not only the cost of construction and also damper with different properties can be determined (the latter is somewhat complicated because of some special limitations), but also the life cycle cost of the structure equipped with TMD can be determined by LCCA using deterministic or or probabilistic methods. In deterministic ones, LCC of the structure for structural and nonstructural elements is calculated based on the damage caused by the earthquakes at various intensity of excitation according to Code provisions.
The issues raised are related to structural and earthquake engineering , which I have no problem with.

Now I want to add management discussions to this research (LCCA-based optimization of TMD equipped structures), which is related to the field of construction management and BIM, about which I have little information. In this way, I intend to do this optimization for different sites on which the structure is located and combine the optimization results with the aim of achieving the most optimal design using BIM basics. As known, different sites directly affect the final cost of structures, both in terms of seismicity and land price.
To do this, I used the links of Opensees and Matlab softwares and as you said I think to use Revit for combining them for BIM issues.
