Many studies have been done in the pre-clinical phase either in cell culture or animal models, but few if any, in the clinical phase on human beings, which I mean by my question.

Although preclinical studies with thymoquinone have indicated their activity as hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cytotoxic or anti-cancer molecule, no clinical trials are registrated in US, Europe or Japan. I provide you the links of the different webs where you can search this information.

However, I have found a pilot study performed in Iran, using this molecule in intractable paediatric seizures (Akhondian et al, 2011).
