From a tarmac mainroad, a stretch of about 300 metres leading to a home is a vertisol. The area tends to be wet for most part of the year. Any previous attempts to murram it has always failed during rainy season as the stones sink into the mud.

1) Excavate 0.30 m of subgrade (soil)
2) Place a geotextile of Mass per unit area > or = 240 gr/m^2
3) Then on top, place 0.10 m fine sand
4) Then on top, place 0.20 m sand/gravel, with a well grain size distribution curve (grain size distribution from 1 mm up to 15 mm)
5) Then you can lay your surfacing
