Check with Hach to see if they have a kit. We use Hach spectrophotometer for Nitrate in water.

Dear Emma Donz, quantification of nitrate and nitrite by spectrophotometric method as mentioned above by cadmium column method it very long and awful method with low reliability very long procedure, requires several number of chemicals etc.

For precise and reliable analysis of nitrate and nitrite I will suggest only Ion chromatography nothing else.
