Well, from my experience, I assume that the primers you use are the most important thing in genotyping. However, I following 2 papers.

First paper ( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21254096 ) where you add the 3 primers together following the "primer competition PCR"

Second paper is ( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12225973 ) where have to duplicate your samples in which you add different primers each time.  

There are slightly differences between the PCR conditions, I assume that it's not a major concern, just follow the paper you are taking the primers from            

and I used the " REDTaq® ReadyMix™ PCR Reaction Mix" so I didn't have to add any other colored loading buffer when loaded my samples onto the gel.
