The quality of legume square bale after enslilng might not be good due to poor fermentation (natural).

High levels of protein in legume hay could cause poor fermentation because of buffering effect; however you could improve fermentation by adding some carbohydrate sources. I have seen good results in farms using silage of Arachis pintoi (legume) with aproximately 10% of molasses added to silage relatively to total weight .
