Hi,
i started working in a very interesting project, The main aim of this project is to reduce spark plug wear. We have already a special vessel to measure and to vary parameters which may reduce the lifetime of spark plugs.
Now I want to build up a modell for spark plugs, espacially i would prefer to get a modell with physical background. I do know that there are different phases of physical background throughout one discharge cycle (breakthrough, arc discharge, glow discharge, dieing away). I have already read about Monte Carlo Simulation for the first phase of ignition, but the most important fact of spark plug wear is the material transport after the breakthrough mainly during the arc discharge.
Does anyone has some experience in building up a model like this and may help?

I think the first stage is to build the mathematical model. The computer simulation implementation is the second stage, usually much easier than the first.I am sure it is a non trivial model.
