Dear all,

I'm performing a Miller von Gieson staining for elastin with a kit from Biosciences on porcine skeletal muscle. As a control for this kit I perform the staining on sections of arteries as well. The kit seems to work fine, however the staining of the elastin for the skeletal muscle sections are less clear. Does anyone has a representative image of how a paraffin section of skeletal muscle tissue stained for elastin should look like? I know elastin is far less abudant than collagen in the ECM of skeletal muscle, but still I want to evaluate the effect of our treatment on the elastin.

If someone could provide me with some images or information on where the elastin should be localized on a cross-sectional section of skeletal.

Thanking you in advance

Kind regards

Lisanne
