I'm having difficulty interpreing the cognition of those incest sexual offenders, both child and adult incest.
They seem to show no distortion regarding rape. That is understandable since the content of rape myth was more directed towards extra-familial orientation/setting.
But they seem to have no guilt, no complex developmental background.
I'm trying to understand from cultural perspective , diverse religious beliefs, I have not seen those endorse the incest sexual behaviors.
Neuroscience perspective, on the brain of disgust?
The ancient practice to preserve pure bloodline of the King in several regions, I tried to assess in that aspect too, I don't think it applicable here.
Are they just , unkind?
I mean, there are quite number that committed against family member, in gang, that is quite difficult for me.
Since GBAI-R, child sexual offender should show high mental score, since these acts are not socially supported. I hypothesized that incest raped should score even higher, since it is not a normal practice. I am kind of lost, and short-sighted to just assume that it is a normative practice here.
Please kindly share your ideas, anything will do. Academic, non-academic, myths comparison, anything at all.

Develops a phenomenology of the incest perpetrator's conviction of innocence in a condition of actual guilt. This phenomenology is developed through the investigation of dissociative states in a certain type of incestuous perpetrator: one who is herself a survivor of sexual abuse, physical abuse, or both. Clinical material of an adult male and a female in her 50s suggests that certain types of schizoid perpetrators can genuinely experience the incestuous act as not really real, not really sex, not really mine. This clinical phenomenon is examined from the perspective of 2 contemporary theoretical trends: the new view of the self as multiple and the neo-Kleinian formulation of "adhesive" or "autistic-contiguous" modes of pseudo-object relatedness. Incestuous acts are conceived as occurring within a prelinguistic modality, and are therefore not encoded in discursive, autobiographical memory. The coexistence of dissociated, multiple self states, and modalities accounts for the contradictory levels of object relatedness, memory, and concern frequently encountered in perpetrators of incest. The concepts of justice and care provide the framework for the analysis of narrative accounts of 11 incest perpetrators (aged 32–54 yrs). Informants were 10 males and 1 female who were interviewed an average of 6 times each. The analysis was guided by the procedures of modified analytic induction. Findings reveal that almost all of the informants defined incest as love and care, and their behavior as considerate and fair. In several instances, they describe their experience of incest as mutual romantic love. Yet, their professed care, love, and sense of fairness were contradicted in many ways, such as their refusal to stop when their victims wanted to stop.
