I would like to make a mosquito diet (for adults) including different vitamins. However, some of these vitamins are not soluble in water. I would like to use an emulsifier like Polysorbate 80 (or tween®80) to stabilize the mixture.
Does someone know if Polysorbate was already used in mosquito diet?
What is the ideal proportion of Plysorbate/water in the mixture?

It's in this book that I found the info about Tween in insect diets, but I am searching for more info.
For Info, yesterday I tried Tween mixed to a 2.5% glucose solution in differente proportions. At 5%, Tween is highly toxic and at 0.1% a bit less. But I don't know if at a lower proportion Tween still has an efficient emulsifier function.

here are some news about this question.
To make an emulsion of Vitamin E in water, I use Tween 20 which seems to be more digest/less toxic than Tween 80 (shorter carbonyl chain). I use it in a 0.05 to 0.025% solution. It is essential to first mix Vitamin E and Tween before to add water.
