The images after Nepal 25 april 2015 earthquake show mostly pre-code collapsed and damaged buildings. But what happened with the new generations of structures ? Some earthquake design codes were not enforced ?

According to a report, jointly prepared by GFZ and KIT, the newly built structures did not suffer a significantly, but minor damages. As you mentioned, most of the buildings that suffered heavy damages and are collapsed, were historic and non-engineered buildings.
