The height and collapse of this tower, in correlation with very long and unexpected periods of spectra, recently published, is raising a number of questions about natural periods and modal forms of the said tower, as well as about the masonry strength.
Thus, I am interested in some engineering assessments, if any.
An excellent presentation at the 12 North American Masonry conference on this by an Indian Professor - forgot the name - but I would find him and contact him for an answer - he is a brilliant chap. The Masonry Society guru will know his name.
