I have a peak at 835-836 cm-1 in some of my spectra (these substances belong to different classes). Can it be a peak of a residual solvent or an impurity?
Thank you all for help! I do have alkene CH bond in some of my compounds. And the link from Prof. Fischer was very helpful. I'll definitely use it next time.
You'd best upload your spectrum because the bands at position less than 1000 cm-1 largely depend on its molecular structure and thus the full spectrum. if aromatic compounds are used the band at 835 cm-1 often suggests an exist of para-substituted benzen ring.
