Dear All.
I have several samples that the percentage of each composition are difference but all of them has two different phases. i want to specified the percentages of each phase. does any one knows how can I do this?
for example I have Al60Cu25Fe15 and Al65Cu20Fe15, both of them has two phases with same properties but the area belong to them are difference.
I really appreciate any help you can provide.

X- ray diffraction can be used to find out the relative percentage of each phase provided one phase is not having very low percentage below the detection level of your instrument. This is a very simple and most commonly used technique to identify phases and their relative concentration when more than one phase is present.
Please determine the phases of each compund by microscope and calculate the area of each compound
then make sum of the area and then determine the percentage of each area
I normally do by image, measuring the area and transform it from volume percent to mass or atomic, you need to know the composition of your phases. Also by XRD if your % is not too low, and you need to apply Rietvel method to calculate the % again. That is more practical but if you have a good database including your phases you can estimate it with for example Pandat or Thermo-Calc software.

Did u get proper result? I used xrd analysis, however it still have large error for complicaref alloys.
