It is apparent that Mustafa answered the ash content,moisture content and wood density of wood questions. As for the calorific value, dry the species specimen you want to test and gring each to a fine powder. Pleace in a bomb calorimeter as per the instructions of the one you can use.

I have worked on similar type of research. I used Proximate Analysis to estimate Ash content, Volatile Matter, Fixed Carbon; Bomb Calorimeter to estimate Calorific Value; Moisture Analyzer to measure MC and Analytical Balance to estimate bulk density.
