I am about to start my work and I am a little bit confused about the strategy to use. My cell source will be porcine bone marrow. I read some articles where the authors explain that EPCs could be identified using markers which are already present in the putative immature endothelial stem cells and this is the only way to immediately select EPCs after collection of the sample. An alternative strategy could be the isolation of mononuclear cells and their differentiation using a selective culture medium.
The question is:
anybody knows a monoclonal antibody which could be used to isolate EPCs?
