I am having trouble with Aß monomers use, actually I want to use these Aß monomers as a standard, so I have to be sure to measure only monomers and not oligomers by using pan-Aß antibodies. I want to avoid any oligomers formation leading to a misinterpretation of my results.
If you dissolve your Abeta peptides in HFIP (hexafluoroisopropanol) they will remain monomeric as long as enough of that alcohol is present.
Of course, HFIP is a bit nasty by itself and may not work with your assays. As soon as you dilute out the HFIP, Abeta may start to oligomerize / polymerize, depending on your conditions.

Another solution is to let HFIP dry and resuspend Aß monomers in PBS-Tween. But I think by resuspending it I will restart Aß polymerization.
