I am interested in testing in-field diagnostic kits for plant disease identification. Have you used such products, what is your experience and could you recommend specific products and service providers, please?
Ihttp://ephyrabiosciences.com/presta/en/lateral-flow/402-phytophthora.htmln my lab., we have used a Pocket Diagnostic kit for quick test for Phytophthora in the field. The Pocket Diagnostic® Phytophthora plant pathogen rapid test is a lateral flow test designed for the detection of many Phytophthora species including Phytophthora ramorum (Sudden oak death), Phytophthora infestans (Blight, Late blight), Phytophthora kernoviae, Phytophthora lateralis, Phytophthora cinnamomi and Phytophthora cactorum.
We have done some work with the AgDia strip kit for citrus canker (the kit is specific to the Asiatic strain). It's easy to use and works well. It was recommended to me Megan Dewdney and Jim Graham over in Florida.
In our lab, we have used a Pocket Diagnostic kit for quick test to detect Ralstonia solanacearum on Eucalyptus and Teak, in the field. https://www.pocketdiagnostic.com/onlineshop/pocketdiagnostic/ralstonia-solanacearum/
