i usually use hemp-o-lock clips for appendectomy without any concern about it .also unabsorablity of clips is not matter. in open surgery you can close the stump with nylon or prolen too.

I have used endoloops or staplers, but have not tried hemo-o-lock clips.  However, when I do a single site appendectomy I exteriorize the appendix to ligate it at the base, as I would do for an open procedure.

In our center they use it succesfully with good results

Obviously secure but unfortunately too expensive for this indication

Safety and security is much more imortant than the cost of the procedure.

I don't use it, extracorporeally pretied ligature using Vicryl No 1 or 0 to secure appendix base. You can read one paper for this subject (Minilaparoscopic appendectomy using a new spiral needle.  Surg Endosc (2014) 28:2086–2089)

In our hospital, their use is frecuent...we havent had any complications..

In my experience the hemolock clips are a good sistem for appendicitis Whit no complícate base, in apendicittis Whit grooss base the staplers suture give security, the Cost is important but no moré that your peacefulness.
