I am trying to synthesis a star shape molecules by reaction between cyanuric chloride with 2,4-difluorphenol and other flourophenols. I tried the use of sodium carbonate as base and benzene as solvent. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.
I see from both references they tried with chloro and bromo substituent. How about the flouro-substituents?? Is it because of thier phenols low boiling point?? Or thier high withdrawing property as a limitation in fridel-craft alkylation. What do you think??
