We're currently working with Novogene to sequence genomes. Their results were so far reliable and comparable to other companies or institutions. I have no information about their RNA-seq facilities, but I doubt that they will be inferior to their genome sequencing facilities.

Thanks Nils! Yeah I have not seen a lot of publications mentioning this company regarding the RNA-Seq so wasn't sure either.

Excellent quality. I have run RNAseq, BSseq and genome sequencing (our own libraries and novogene-built libraries) though their facility and always get fantastic data.

I’m assuming you’ll have them make the bulks? If so, I imagine they’ll do a good job getting fairly even representation among samples because the read depths we get when sending multiple individual RNA preps are always pretty close to one another. They’ll assess sample quality too before bulking. Just be aware that, depending on the tissue type, some preps might yield RNA that is recalcitrant to processing, leading to underrepresentation/absence in the final dataset. This is always a risk with bulking. One last thing - presumably this is for some kind of bulked segregant study or a survey? You don’t ever want to bulk for differential expression analysis.
