Hi everybody,
we sent a short communication to : Probiologist -Archives of Clinical Toxicology (https://probiologists.com/Journal/Archives-of-Clinical-Toxicology), that has been accepted on November 10, 2020. To date, the article is still "in-press" ( "Neurotoxic amyloid prefibrillar oligomers: Do salmon calcitonin and amyloid β1-42 wear the same "outfit"?)
As an author, I wrote several times to the journal board, but no one replied to my emails.
Have someone else had the same problem with this journal ?,... Do you know if Is it a predatory journal?

As far as I know, PROBIOLOGISTS -Archives of Clinical Toxicology in not included in the predatory journal list https://predatoryjournals.com/journals/#J
However, I think it is not processing now.
I saw the latest articles published in 2020.

Thank you very much for your kind reply, ...., the letter was sent in September 2020 and accepted in November 2020, but unfortunately, it hasn't been assigned any DOI or PubMed ID. I agree it is not processing now.

I do see some red flags for being predatory when it comes to the publisher “ProBiologists LLC” which is behind the journal you mention. The fact that it is not mentioned in the Beall’s list is most likely simply because it is a new player (somewhere in 2019):
-Google the address and you end up in a nice-looking area that however has nothing to do with a serious office. The second find in the Google search gives info about a virtual mailbox service. In other words they hide their true origin
-The same is true for the London address “85 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 7LT, UK” mentioned here https://probiologists.com/Journal/Contact/Journal-of-Biomed-ResearchAgain a virtual office address…
-Prominently mentioning of PubMed indexed articles misleadingly suggest that their journal is indexed in PubMed. PubMed index papers automatically when one or more authors receive NIH funding, so this has nothing to do with the journal
-To start in a short period of time 2019-2020 around 35 new titles do not sound really trustworthy, and one might question how well you can guarantee the quality of the peer review, editorial board etc.
Although the papers look pretty professional in terms of editing, and they didn’t fall for mentioning meaningless indexing logo’s (https://beallslist.net/misleading-metrics/) which you often see when dealing with a predatory journal/publisher I personally would avoid them. Paying 750 USD for a basically non-indexed journal is too much.

PS. Your (by the way interesting looking) paper Article Archives of Clinical Toxicology Neurotoxic amyloid prefibril...
has, as you noticed, been assigned issue and page nr info. Their ‘problem’ is that this journal is in desperate need of new content, it would not surprise me when they will decide to discontinue this one because of lack of interest to publish in this particular field (and possibly this might explain why they don’t finish the publishing process more properly incl. doi assignment).
