I have prepared PCL nanoparticles for a hydrophilic drug by double emulsion solvent evaporation method using DMAB as stabilizer and ethyl acetate as organic solvent. I have noticed that the size of nanoparticles reduced upon increasing the amount of PCL by keeping other parameters (concentration of drug, stabilizer, volume of organic solvent, volume of aqueous phase) constant.

The size of the nanoparticles which I have obtained are 73 nm (at lower concentration of PCL) and 37 nm (at higher concentration of PCL). I can't figure out the reason for the decreased particle upon increasing the amount of PCL. Does it have anything to do with the lactone moiety? Can anyone please suggest the reason for this?
