Does 20 mM sodium phosphate buffer have any negative effect on mammalian cells?

Usually we use 20 mM sodium phosphate buffer as stock solution and prepare a low concentration saline solution from that but I was wondering, if 20 mM sodium phosphate buffer can directly be used in some cases. So I want to know what could be the consequences? Does 20 mM sodium phosphate buffer have any adverse effect on mammalian cells?
