I am pleased to announce the publication of a special issue, by Biomed Research International journal(www.hindawi.com/journals/bmri) (IF: 2.706), entitled "Cryptic Species Complexes among Clinically Relevant Fungi: Biology, Genetics, and Identification".

The goal of this special issue is to focus on research related to cryptic species belonging to di?fferent fungal genera of medical interest (Candida, Cryptococcus, Aspergillus, Sporothrix, and several others).

We invite authors to contribute with high quality papers that will stimulate the research community on this topic and will help to increase our understanding of the basic biology, genetics and virulence of these important human pathogens.
