Do you use simulation modeling of intellectual work? Do you test work flow and team building hypotheses using models?

I face problems with hypothesis testing on real teams in project management. Choice of methodology, composition and number of participants, etc. It takes 2-3 weeks to switch to a new process, after that it takes another ~3 months to get meaningful data to analyze. It is very long and expensive.

At the same time, the software development field is an intellectual labor with a lot of social features of personalities, communication and uncertainty on the business side.

Is there anything you can advise or share from your experience? I am thinking of looking towards AnyLogic. Has anyone worked with AnyLogic in a similar area?
