Hello researchers,
I would like to know people who are using Linux. and I have few questions for them
What distro you use?
What are the alternatives you have for Windows exclusive software like Eviews, IBM AMOS , Minitab and etc.. Kindly give alternatives except R. I understand R can do almost any data analysis. I am a happy user of it. But you can share your experience using R in Linux.
Many people including myself use Linux.
I do not know exactly what Eviews does, but you could do what all of those software do by R.
I recommend Fedora Scientific Lab. I have not confronted with any problems when I run R in Linux.
Thank you for your answer . I consider using Ubuntu or Open Suse . whats your take on this?
It might be personal but I do not consider using them. Open Suse has some popularity in scientific community I guess.
