First of all good luck with your research as it is certainly a fascinating area of study. There is certainly scope for a wider range of research methods to be applied to the study of mountaineering more generally and your focus upon HAMG should be a useful addition to knolwedge in this area. Our team are essentially qualitative researchers so that is our main expertise and focus and we feel that investigating the lived experience in this way is likely to provide a rich understanding of what it is like to make decisions and experience emotions at high altitude. That's not to say we feel it is the only valid method of adding to knowledge and it's great to hear that researchers such as yourself are going to be providing new insights. All the best, Lee.

As Lee indicates, above, the research upon which we focus aims to address the current gap in the literature on the lived experience of a whole range of elements in HAMG, including the senses and endurance (from a sociological perspective), together with the aspects that Lee highlights above from a psychological angle. Thank you for adding your insight in on going discussion. Indeed, it is a fascinating area. As I have started writing my analysis. I am being consumed by this area. I can clearly see now how senior scholars are making an attempt to tear out the insights, in order to bring out the richness "high-altitude tourism or per say death zone tourism."
