Can anyone suggest research conducted using social media for the marginal communities in developing countries?
To be precise, for example, using official website, Facebook Page, blogs, tripadvisor, slideshare, tourism-link, etc, to explore about particular community, tribe, community-school.

Ok, you may want to browse Jurnal Komunikasi or International Journal of Communication published by School of Media and Communication, UKM. There are articles in that journal written by academicians from Malaysia particularly on social media.
You might also want to look at Daniel Miller and Mirca Madianou's contribution on polymedia.

In Brazil, we have a public policy named "Ponto de Cultura Indígena". We can translate it as a culture station to indigenous people . It is a kind of entity which is able to connect indigenous people to virtual world from own communities or tribes. In Brazil, we have a lot of culture stations around the country where people access for cultural purposes, as education, communication or debate about cultural diversity. Actually, the culture stations are not only in indigenous people tribes, but in a lot of minority communities where there are some kind of culture activity. You can read more about this at :
