Nature Conservation is always anthropocentric. Human Race protects what he needs or what he likes (why wanting to protect lovely birds and tigers, but not awful ticks or ebola viruses, which were here long before humans were). Like every species, mankind too is a result of natural evolution. Everything that our brain is able to produce - writing books, describing formulas, making music, synthesizing chemicals, leaving the earth with rockets, or destroying the habitats of other species - is a result of nature itself. Anthropogen influence isn't something, which fights against or destroys nature, rather it is an species-specific element of the process "Evolution". And if you think that human race is against nature, because he destroys habitats of other species, then Cyanobacteria, who exterminated almost every single life by poisoning whole earth with oxygen (great oxygen catastrophy) are far more "Anti-Nature". And yet, almost all species (including ourselves) live just because this great oxygen catastrophy happened in the past. There is no "right" and "bad" in nature, Nature is not a judgmental entity, but rather a complex system.

What do you mean by "right" and "positive"? I am pretty sure that you could have thousands of contradictory answers if you do not give clear definition of what you mean by these terms.
I would support Michel that what do you mean by "right" and "Positive". Ecology only means to us only and upto when we are there on earth. All decisions and acts are never beneficial to everyone. Even in humans a decision made is good for one group and bad for others. All work which ever we do is for welfare of humans only. Yes of course we are damaging nature many times but on the same time we are also getting much aware about conservation and management of it which we were not earlier. Now we have developed many techniques by which the damage is either reduced or even recovering in some cases. Science is developing at such a speed that it will not be much if I say one day we will be able to revert the changes we had made in past and which will be fully favourable for humans and other species as well as for earth too.
The fact the evolution gave us a brain is a good thing for Life, since it gives us the ability to explore and colonize other planets in the Solar System or/and build intelligent robots that could do the job. So, we are able to spread life in the Solar System. I do not think we can destroy life on Earth, but we can destroy humanity. At the end, life will still be present (if we succeed to spread life, at least in the Solar System, before an asteroid or something else destroy the Earth).
Yes.. I do agree 'Right and Positive' are relative terms. When we study evolution, we understand the development of livings, animals and plants, is progressive. Progressive means they develop some skills and organs, senses for survival. Those who didn't, they extinct.
Are we moving in the another/opposite direction now?
