Men and women are two sides of the same coin......human being. They are complementary to each other. They are the half sky......some ascribes women to be as "better" half.
But, it is not wise to compare men and women in terms of "abilities" and that to "in all fields". We can not even say that men are superior in physical abilities. Because many women may have enough physical fitness and the power compared to men. So ability....be it physical, mental or emotional....can never be gender- specific.
Yes the same ability but the difference is in the physical strength, less distraction, etc.
Men r technically sound but women have better Focus Nd Determination qualities.

There is an obvious gap in biological structure (Physical strength). Women can not work hard as same as men can. It may be that, a woman with high practice, may do tasks as same as a man can, but that time the woman will be no longer a woman. she will lose her softness.
Physically and biologically man and woman are different. Sociologically both are equal. Majority of daily activities, both the gender can do equally.

Up on my view, the answer is yes, woman have the same abilities of men. But more than that, some time women favorite with abilities more than men. HOWEVER, the difference GAP is to big because of their physical structure, the muscularization (massive muscle) mass & the testosterone actions.

The men and women are NOT equal and NOT same but unique in their abilities , strenght and skills/intelligence and hence not less then each others in any of those domains.However sadly our world tilts MORE to neglect women inspite at times men. Things do improve as time goes by. ( PS if men are from Mars and Women are from venus, lets settle on pluto there still might be a chance).

Abilities can be defined from many angles e.g. cognitive, logical reasoning, critical / creative thinking, dexterity skills, abilities empowered / restricted by cultural values & religions, abilities related to physical attributes etc. There is no difference between women & men in all the abovementioned abilities except the last two i.e. abilities empowered / restricted by cultural values & religions and abilities related to physical attributes as there are obvious differences between women & men physically & biologically. Examples of abilities related to physical attributes include strength, speed, distance etc. - even though these abilities also becoming blurred / overlapped i.e. depending on each individual's uniqueness, competency, efforts, determination etc.

However, if justice and idealism may take place in life, I strongly believe that women - in average - are more gifted and superior than men.

I don't like to add my fuel in this indulge and racism with gender issue.
Still women have average weight, quantity of brain, blood even hight below the average the same from men, they were to perform lesser capability than men. But across the world , women are doing fine in all sectors in some cases better than that of men. However, in politics , medical sciences and in physical labor keeping patience is harder by the women than men from my observation.
Women are quarrelsome , fastidious, and consider even mimic when men ignore .
