COVID 19 pandemic across the world has seen some global practices. The biggest shift was seen where the focus has been shifted from religion to medical science. The places of worship were closed down as they could no longer answer the questions raised by the followers regarding the pandemic. do you think that this phase can be called as a phase of 'Faith v/s/ Doubt?

Faith; the complete confidence in something or someone. One caveat with this faith has never lead us to the truth. To doubt is to human, we all do it every day about something we said or did or maybe even something that could have been seen or done. To have faith is to lock yourself in a dark room filled with unknown dangers with a blindfold for good measure and confidently pick a direction and say " hey, I will not get hurt I know so." As for SARS-CoV-2, we know many things scientifically, we have seen what it can do and what it continues to do to populations and cities especially in America. The problem is we put ourselves before everyone else. We keep telling ourselves in the mirror we are good ethical people yet we still continue to not follow any rules that can save thousands of lives within our communities. All this because we put faith in something that will not save us, will not heal us, and will not change the outcome of the inevitable if we are the ones who are the 1% to be unfortunate enough to draw that stick.
NIH.org Is public-funded research that has tons of research from all over the world on COVID-19, and what other countries have done to keep their numbers down, something The United States fails to do and continues to fail to do.
Has science offered that much in this pandemic? The methods employed, those that appear to work, are hundreds if not thousands of years old. I see no evidence of science overcoming this virus, and it will filter away as others have done. Science did not defeat the Black Death, nor the Spanish Flu. It will not eradicate covid-19.
Incidentally, faith had absolutely no effect on the above diseases either except probably to allow the quick demise of those that had it. The Black Death in Europe caused a complete failure of confidence in medicine, but also in god.
Notably, the impact of COVID19 on faith has indeed been significant so much so those whose faith in God was not strongly established are now experiencing a sense of doubt. However, for those for whom faith is a basic element of life , the rays of hope and salvation are shining more than ever before. Whereas science helps man to find solutions to myriad problems surrounding human life, faith provides him with the psychological support to do so. As Germany Kent rightly observes, “God will fight your battles if you just keep still. He is able to carry you through. Trust Him. Keep standing, keep believing and keep hoping.”

I do not think that closng places of worship changes anything for people who have their religiosity internalised. It can still serve as a strong positive coping strategy. At the same time, there is no reason why this should exclude supporting a progress in science.
When we're busy with research then we know how science can speak the truth.
Today or tomorrow truth will come through science though we know that supernatural power acts everywhere.
For the sake of fact, the reason the Spanish flu was so destructive was due to the lack of use of science. Isolation, quarantine, good personal hygiene, use of disinfectants, and limitations of public gatherings. This was a bacteria Yersinia pestis which if left untreated would cause septicemia. In the Height of the 1340s and '50s, they did not have antibiotics, testing, or understand the pathophysiology of this disease. In today's society, this would not have spread and killed the way that it killed in those days. So education, understanding, and scientific progression has everything to do with the ability to help fight against diseases. But everyone has a part to play. As far as this pandemic there has been a ton of research since December that has come out the following is just a few sources that I have collected that are sources on specific COVID-19 and current research in those specific areas.
The places of worship were closed down or more recently, restricted (in terms of number of people who are allowed to attend during services) not because they could no longer serve the spiritual needs of the people. It was for the purpose of keeping the congregants safe and healthy. There are many of us whose faith were even intensified because we knew that only a Higher Being could ultimately bring a solution to this pandemic. Our faith is not limited by the four walls of any physical worship building. Even then, we also do not see exact medical science in opposition to our faith - in this pandemic, it serves the welfare of mankind. Indeed, faith and exact medical science are not mutually exclusive. They work hand in hand.

Yes and no is the answer required for things like this that are still uncertain.
Blind faith in what one doesn't understand or certainly know, can be a mistake.... A huge mistake...
And, at the same time, to try and discover new things beyond the current paradigm, you need a little bit of faith...
...So, you shouldn't have blind faith in the current scientific paradigm, nor in a specific religious view.
Let's be curious, scientific, let's be open, and maybe we find out that body and spirit aren't as separate as we might believe...

True, places of worship are being closed, but so are other mass gatherings. I do not see utilizing common sense as doubt.
I do not think that such a phase 'faith versus doubt' exist. What I think exist is an outright replacement of one with the other. In Nigeria for example, COVID-19 made the religious to become more religious; it succeeded in eradicating former doubts (if any) that they had in God. On the other hand, those who are skeptical about God and religion found enough reasons in the pandemic situation to validate their claims
True knowledge of God, the supreme intelligent designer, knows that God is revealed in science. The first verse in the bible contains the components of scientific creation revealed by God: Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
For scientific creation you must have time, space, matter, and an interacting force. In the beginning, is time. Heaven is space. Earth is matter, and the interacting force is God. Therefore God gave man everything necessary for the science to study, understand, manipulate, or created using time, space, matter, and man being the interacting force as being the image of God.
The wisdom of God is in man and because man was created by God, man seeks to do as his father and create as his father creates. Pro 8:12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The Hebrew/Semitic word for inventions can be good or wicked. Finding a cure is for the good. In faith, if we ask any good thing, God will give it. God's gifts of wisdom and letting man have the wisdom to create is holy in itself. However, we can make it unholy by our choices and intent.
The definition of Science is the state of knowing and Scientist say "Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence." Faith is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things not seen. Is not faith the start of all pursuit and application of knowledge? God spoke the word or logos which is to express one's intelligence. Faith says God spoke the world into existence and we are seeking the knowledge of the evidence of that designer's intelligence through...science.
The people are the church and faith is in the people of God. Therefore the closing of a building (cathedral, mosque, synagogue, etc.) has no evidence of a disconnect of faith and science which is God. In faith you state you know there is a God. Science is the state of knowing. The holy application of science seeks God and God reveals himself. Jer 33:6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
I am sure when the cure for COVID 19 is created, everyone will say "Thank God!"

To me faith V/S Doubt it means we are lacking in our confidence of our action . This negative element destroys the environment of our confidence . For any human being our faith has a direct relation with our inner urge which remains for us the successful path for our life line .If our faith work in the positive direction some fruitful elements get reflected in our mind .
COVID -19 which his negative elements has created the feelings for our life which has disturb our environment including of our family . We know that this been not a healthy sign however we are human beings & we all have our power & confidence for our prayer & our divine master to whom we are worshiping this create a confidence within us & for disturbing problem we are diverting our mind in our prayer under a spiritual path with Meditation & Yoga .
This is creates a confidence in us & COVID-19 may be the play for our destiny .

First I must clarify my own point of view of religious beliefs and their function. As the evolution of religion is one of my subjects of interest I must say that I think all forms of beliefs in higher powers and life-after-death (which are the pillars of every religion) were created by evolution as adaptations that facilitate social cooperation and social life in general. such beliefs were selected merely because they reduced the costs of punishment of the uncooperative and offered rewards for the cooperative individuals. Ultimately these adaptations made possible the creation of a major by-product; organized religions.
So in this sense, god and religious beliefs are nothing more than illusions that helped maintain order and cooperation in primitive societies and are now vestigial adaptations due to the existence of organized governments with law systems that punish and rewards cooperation in society with much better efficiency than religions.
Now to the question regarding whether a pandemic, such as this, is enough to shift the faith from religion to science and practice, I should express my opinion that sadly I don't think that it is enough. First, as I said these beliefs are selected adaptations and for them to significantly decrease in humans they must have a significant disadvantage to the individuals over a long period of time to create selective pressure against them. In other words, if believing in God or religions were to significantly decrease the fitness of the individual (for example if they insist on attending church or mosque and they get infected through this with a significantly more rate than others) and this disadvantage would remain stable enough for generations (so that in each generation the non-believers would out-reproduce the believers), then we might see a shift from religious belief to no belief. But sadly, even if religious beliefs do create selective disadvantages, this pandemic does not appear to be stable and lasting enough to allow natural selection to eliminate it.
To sum it up, the exiting religious beliefs do not appear to create a strong enough evolutionary disadvantage or this pandemic does not appear to be lasting enough to oppose already evolved adaptive traits.

Let's see... We are asked to cover our faces, show restraint, and are called names if we openly enjoy our lives. We are told by a ruling elite that, if we do not make large sacrifices, the end of the world will come. When individuals dare to ask for evidence to justify these massive and unprecedented restrictions on our freedoms, they are called still more names (and no studies are presented) -- all in supposedly secular societies.
Ostensibly, when we chase away the religious, it comes back galloping...
I do not think that COVID-19 has shifted our faith from religion to medical science. So far I know all of the religions never had enmity with science, some might have. Peoples have observed the helplessness of medical science to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic. So, there are possibilities that people could be inclined more towards religion in the post-COVID world.
The lack of faith has brought us to this disaster and through more faith we get out of it. Without faith we are helpless like drifting in the open sea. By following the rules we can push the virus away like the Wuhan people did by having faith to their rulers and observing all the instructions of the medical people.
