Out of curiosity I looked up this Norton amplifier and it was still on a paper from 2013!

I do not know what it means in your area of research but to a layman (-woman) it does not seem to be a very out-dated information. If you think it takes up too much time from teaching newer intervention, give it to the students to read at home?
Certainly, data from 2013 are not historical. But the structure of this circuit is historic. Today CFA circuits (or VFA based on CFA) are certainly better. In addition, Norton amplifier "requires" a somewhat unique approach to a quiescent point.
