It depends on the type of course. If it is a specialized area like Occupational Analysis, then I would think these professors would be better suited as that's their specialty. However, if it's a less specialized area such information and communication technology, then I believe those with a Master's degree can teach such courses. All the same, I would strongly recommend that all professors whether specialised or not possess the cultural competence for facilitating the ethnic diversity in today's classroom. @Josef, it will depend on the situation in the university. Here, profs and associate profs do teach the undergrads. They also have several MS and PhD students to supervise. In some departments, the post docs also supervise MS students. The work has to be shared and done satisfactorily, although many profs are feeling that their duties are quite a big burden. Thanks.
