Dear Professors and Colleagues, I wish you all a pleasant time. I have my doubts about new journals ( that have no impact factor) affiliated with one of the two major publishing firms Some of them offer open-access publishing at a 100% discount for a year to encourage authors to publish with them. Upon the submission of a manuscript (which usually takes a long time for "technical checks"), the manuscript goes to the editorial task, which then moves to the reviewer stage. After the review period, the authors must revise the manuscript to meet the reviewers' requirements. Then, after submitting the revised version, the manuscript must pass another stage of technical checks before finally reaching the editor. This is where the problem arises: the editor receives the revised version and does nothing. Yes, the editor does nothing for weeks! No matter how many emails you send to the contact person or the editor-in-chief, you will receive no response. You are given a statement indicating that the revised version is with the editor, and a red "Under Consideration" mark. Here, you may find yourself forced to make the difficult decision to withdraw the manuscript and submit it to another journal. The additional problem here is that you have no one to ask for help, and you have no other ways to present or escalate your problem. Have other colleagues in the community encountered this issue ? May you explain this situation, and do you have any ideas on what to do in such a situation?
