Hello my research belong to gender studies. i m working on high school teachers' psychosocial pressure risks from gender perspective. My MA research is about Gender and high school Teachers' Psychosocial Pressure Risks. the aim of my research is to invistigate whether male & female teachers have face the same psychosocial pressures ,during their teaching career, or because of gender(how man & woman are perceived, gender roles,cultures) they have differents problems? what are the causes of male/female teachers psychosocial pressures? during my research i m going to rely on some developed countries' experiences in the field and how they have dealt with this issue in order to reduce teachers' psychosocial pressures taking into account male's and femele's different.needs.thanks in advanced

I think that female teachers are more likely to suffer from psychosocial pressures than male teachers, especially in underdeveloped and developing countries in Africa, Southeast Asia.
Men also face a lot of psychosocial pressure to perform masculinity. Men who do not conform to certain (expected) gender scripts face a lot of consequences for not being "masculine" enough. Not sure if it would be specifically more or less than women, but that is an interesting question.

Very true that women can fall prey to psycho social pressures in education, as they tend to be seeing as less dominant than their male counterparts and expected to passively take orders.
Obviously it depends on the context in which the teacher acts. In one strongly conditioned by dynamics of masculinity pressure will be higher for female teachers, but for the same reason there will be pressure also for the male teacher.
No. Say, in Soviet and post-Soviet Russia a schoolteacher is mainly a female profession. Which means that male teachers are not only subject to psychological pressures as outsiders in their professional milieus (different aspects of) - but also that they are stigmatized as losers in the wider social contexts. Which of course doesn't mean that female teachers are not subject to their own forms of psychological pressure.
Generally speaking , psychosocial pressures against women are almost high in all communities and the teaching profession is no exception. The odds against women in different professions is a sad reality of life unless the full necessity of equality is recognized by policy makers because women are as resourceful as men in the teaching profession and it is not right to be be prejudiced. Therefore, as you rightly observe, psychosocial pressures against women teachers remain high unless we learn to recognize the equality and full humanity of women in general.

Many female teachers may experience more psychological pressure than male teachers because of having other familial stress and being more conscious about their professional responsibility compared to male teachers. But it may not be applicable to everyone.
I think it depends on the work environment. In some cases both face psychosocial pressures in terms of retarding environment. otherwise, both gender have specific gender needs and gendered codes and psychosocial pressure vary from institution to institution, area to area, and culture to culture.
